- Solomon prayed in 1 Kings 8:27, "The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!" What, then, was the purpose of the temple?

Friday, May 18, 1 Kings 10, Psalm 58 - 59
- The Queen of Sheba said to Solomon in 1 Kings 10:8, "How happy your people must be!" Why would having a wise king result in the people being happy?
- In 1 Kings 10 Solomon accumulated horses and imported them from Egypt. This is in conflict with the commands in Deuteronomy 17:16. If Solomon was wise why did he disobey these commands?
- David wrote in Psalm 58:3, "Even from birth the wicked go astray." How could someone go astray from birth?
