Sunday, May 27, 2 Kings 1 - 2, Luke 9
- In 2 Kings 1, Elijah agreed to go meet with Ahaziah. Why then had he called down fire from heaven on the two groups of fifty men who had come to make him go?
- Elisha wanted a "double portion" of Elijah's spirit and was focused on doing what he needed to do to get it. What are you focused on? What do you want God to do in your life?
- In Luke 9 why did Jesus have the 5000 sit down in groups of about 50?
- In Luke 9:23 Jesus said, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." What does it mean to deny yourself?
